Article Processing Charge (APC)
Article Processing Charges
Qubahan Engineering Journal (QENGJ) operates an open-access publishing model.
Article Processing Charge
The Article Processing Charge (APC) is: US$750 per accepted article
The APC supports the journal's publishing activities, including editorial administration, manuscript management, peer-review coordination, digital publishing infrastructure, copyediting, typesetting, metadata preparation, online hosting, digital preservation, and dissemination.
When the APC Is Charged
The APC becomes payable only after the manuscript has received final editorial acceptance.
Authors are not required to pay an APC merely to submit a manuscript or to have a manuscript evaluated through peer review.
Editorial Independence
Payment of an APC:
-
Does not guarantee acceptance;
-
Does not guarantee favorable peer review;
-
Does not accelerate or influence editorial decisions;
-
Does not affect reviewer recommendations; and
-
Does not override the journal's scientific, ethical, or editorial requirements.
Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical integrity, relevance to the journal's scope, and contribution to knowledge.
Transparency
QENGJ clearly communicates the applicable Article Processing Charge before publication.
The journal does not impose undisclosed mandatory publication charges.
Any approved waiver, discount, institutional agreement, or special publishing arrangement must remain completely independent of peer-review and editorial decision-making.
Withdrawal
Where a manuscript is withdrawn before final acceptance, no Article Processing Charge is payable unless a separate service has been explicitly requested and agreed upon in advance.
Taxes and Bank Charges
Where applicable, taxes, bank transfer charges, currency-conversion fees, or other transaction costs may be the responsibility of the payer and should be communicated transparently before payment.
Refunds
Any refund request is evaluated according to the journal's applicable payment and publication status.
Once an article has been formally published and publishing services have been completed, the APC is normally considered earned, except where reimbursement is required by law or approved by the publisher under exceptional circumstances.
